One day as a child in a informal settlement

It was a Monday morning. I had no sleep because it was raining and I had to sleep on the floor. It also flooded so I didn’t have dry clothes.so I had to try and dry it with a cloth. So when I went to school I had no food I had to walk even though I had no shoes. It takes me 1 hour to get to school. I really dream to get shoes and to have a warm home. 

I finally get to school and I can see mud everywhere. As I walked in the classroom there was water everywhere. The teacher was starting to teach.there is like 64 kids in my class. No one has there own book. I was very nauseous because I hadn’t eaten.

As I was walking back home I stopped at the barber because they have a TV. I mostly come there to watch soccer. When we win they play music really loud and everyone joins in to dance. I really wish I could have my parents around. We never have fun because they are always at work.

 I really wish we had more money for  clean water and a house that doesn’t fall apart every month. If we had a that fire proof house it will be better. It will be so much better if I could go to a proper school. I go to the market or the street to sell fruit so my parents don’t have to work so hard. The reason why is so that life won’t be so hard .
